Lauren is a writer, strategist, storyteller, and above all, a believer in the power of connecting. She believes when we connect with individuals, ideas, and the natural world around us, we can change ourselves and change the world.
Charlotte Moore (she/her)
Senior Advisor + Producer
Charlotte Moore is a career journalist and storyteller with more than 25 years of experience in news media. The Austin, Texas native was nine years old when she was first published in The Villager, her community newspaper. She’s been writing ever since.
Anne Bannister (she/her)

Anne is a photographer and filmmaker who specializes in stories of human connection. She is both a sixth-generation Kansan and Texan whose art is inspired by the unique beauty of the two states she loves.

Victoria Wang is a researcher and former early childhood educator who grounds her work in her lived experiences growing up in Texas as a second-generation Chinese American.
Andrea Fernández (she/her)

As a native of the Rio Grande Valley, Andrea uses her experience of living by the border to create inclusive communication strategies. Andrea is an innovative strategic communicator with experience in bilingual writing, public relations, and digital communications.
Land Acknowledgement
Connecting our Stories is based in Austin, Texas. We acknowledge that we live and work on the ancestral homelands of the Plains Tribes, including the Lipan Apache, Comanche, and Tonkawa. We acknowledge that systematic elimination and forced expulsion of the indigenous peoples of Central Texas enabled the society of today to develop on these lands. We pay respect to the people of the Plains Tribes past, present, and future.
